1965-1966 Twin I-Beam F-250 8 Lug 3/4 Ton Front Disc Brake Kit

KIT FITS F250 WITH 12 X 2" DRUM BRAKE SHOES, TWIN I-BEAM FRONT.

1964 & 1966 ARE MODEL CHANGE OVER YEARS. YOU HAVE TO MEASURE THE SPINDLE BOLT SPACING. THESE ARE THE FOUR BOLTS THAT HOLD/HELD THE DRUM BACKING PLATE ON. THIS KIT WILL NOT FIT PRE 64 STRAIGHT AXLE. SEE FITMENT FOR OTHER NOTES. 

 

Our Kit Does Both Sides of the Axle, and Includes: Raw metal Brackets, Grade 8 Mounting Hardware, 12 3/4" Vented Rotors, Raw metal Calipers with 18" Stainless Flexible Lines. 

 

Front Disc Brake kits are Only Sold as Complete Kits

 

Kit Options Allow You to Upgrade Your Kit to Include:

  • Calipers with Pads in Powder Coated Finish of Black
  • Black Powder coated brackets 
  • Performance Drilled and Slotted Rotors

 

Disc / Drum and Disc/ Disc Applications MUST change over the master cylinder stock one will not work. Master Cylinders and Power Brake Conversions can be found HERE

 

  • Important Note for Installation

    • To verify you are ordering the correct kit, measure your drum backing plate bolt hole spacing center to center on your spindle/axle housing flange and compare to our spacing diagram.
    • 1963 Mid to late in the year to Early 1964 is a model change- over year for Ford trucks. They used different spindles for pre 64 and after 66.5  
    • Fits most 16" Single Disc Brake Style Wheels and larger.
    • It will not fit 15" Single Disc Brake Style Wheels, 4x4 front axles or dual wheel front hubs. 
    • Only fits 8 x 6 1/2" Wheel Lug Pattern. 
    • This kit only fits the single wheel hubs
    • Save your original hubs & bearings. Our rotor slips over your stock hubs.
    • Stock master cylinder and proportioning valve must be replaced. With correct disc/drum or disc/disc master cylinder.
    • When converting from drum to disk. You will need to cut and re-flair your existing hard brake line or bend new ones. These are not supplied.

  • Fitment

    • 1964-1/2 & 1966-1/2 ARE MODEL CHANGE OVER YEARS. you must measure the drum to spindle retaining bolts spacing. This is the first year Ford went to the Twin- I Beam front design
    • DOES NOT FIT 4X4 AXLES
    • Wheel Studs are 1/2"
    • Diameter/ Radius of the outer hub is 8.5".
    • Twin I-Beam front
    • Drum brake shoes are 12" x 2"/12-1/8" x 2"
    • WILL NOT FIT TRUCKS WITH 3" WIDE DRUM BRAKE SHOES OR A GVW OF 7500LBS. SPINDLES ARE DIFFERANT. THE KING PIN SIZE ON THESE ARE 6.45 X 1.05
